INM worked with Stan Wilson (Director of NOAA’s National Ocean Service/NOS) to develop a number of educational CD-ROMs for the general public, students, and as policy outreach on important coastal issues. These titles were part of NOAA’s State of the Coast Project directed by Stan. Eliot Hurwitz was the NOS project coordinator and narrator. Three CD-ROMs are highlighted.
Turning The Tide: America’s Coasts At A Crossroads focused on coastal population, development and ways to protect coastal and marine environments. The New England Aquarium was also a partner and the CD-ROM premiered at the Smithsonian Institution’s Ocean Planet Exhibit (1995).
